Aarti Chhabria Biography
Aarti Chhabria is an Indian model turned actress known to have appeared in Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films. Born on 21st November, 1982 into a Sindhi family, Aarti Chhabria started her career as a model and was seen in several TV commercials and print advertisements. Aarti won the coveted Miss India title in the year 2000 and became a popular face in the ad world. She has featured in around 200 advertisements for brands like Krack Cream, Amul. She also appeared as Adnan Sami’s muse in one of his music videos featured in the album ‘Tera Chehra’ and Sukwinder Singh’s ‘Nasha hi Nasha’.

She made her bollywood debut in a cameo appearance opposite Sharman Joshi in Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Lajja’. Based on the plight of Indian women, critically acclaimed ‘Lajja’ starred bollywood biggies like Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Manisha Koirala, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Mahima Chaudhary, while Urmila Matondkar and Sonali Bendre appeared in item dance numbers.
Her first film in a leading role was 2002 release ‘Tumse Accha Kaun Hai’ alongside debutant Nakul Vaid and Kim Sharma. The film did reasonably well at the box office and its music became a music chart topper. Aarti is known for her vivacious on screen persona and natural performances. Despite starring in a number of multistarrer films, she has always made her presence felt. Aarti Chhabria was later seen in films like Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Suneil Shetty, Aftab, Amrita Arora and Preeti Jhangiani, ‘Raja Bhaiya’ opposite Govinda, Anil Sharma’s ‘Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo’alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Divya Khosla and Nagma, Kiti Kumar’s ‘Ssukh’ alongside Govinda, Preeti Jhangiani and Chunky Pandey. She also appeared in supporting roles in David Dhawan’s ‘Shaadi No. 1’ alongside Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Sharman Joshi, Esha Deol, Ayesha Takia and Soha Ali Khan and ‘Teesri Aankh - The Hidden Camera’ alongside Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel and Ashish Chaudhary.
Aarti Chhabria made her tollywood debut in Rasool Ellore’s superhit romantic film ‘Okariki Okaru’ as the female lead opposite Tamil star Sreeram. The film became a huge commercial and critical success and also won the Nandi award for the Best Beginner Film and Best Music Director. Since then Aarti has worked in a few Telugu films like ‘Intlo Sreemathi Veedhilo Kumari’ opposite Shrikanth and Prabhudeva, ‘Gopi – Goda Meedha Pilli’ alongside Allari naresh, Jagapathi Babu, and Gowri Munjal and ‘Chinatakayala Ravi’ in a special song with Venkatesh. Aarti Chhabria has also worked in a couple of Kannada films including ‘Aham Premasmi’, ‘Santha’ and ‘Rajini’.
Her recent bollywood films include Ramesh Khatkar’s ‘Toss’ and K. Murli Mohan Rao’s ‘Daddy Cool’, supposedly remake of Hollywood blockbuster ‘Death at a Funeral’. She will be seen in a supporting role in the much awaited Shahid- Kareena starrer ‘Milenge Milenge’. Produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Satish Kaushik, the film was supposed to be released in 2008 on Valentine’s Day; however Shahid and Kareena’s break up resulted in the delay of the film. Based on the 2001 release Hollywood romantic comedy ‘Serendipity’, ‘Meilenge Milenge’ is scheduled to released in July, 2010.
Aarti Chhabria’s forthcoming films include ‘Tum Mere Ho’ which is under production and ‘Maqsad’ that will shortly go on floor.
