K.R. Vijaya Biography
K.R. Vijaya is a South Indian actress.
VIJAYA
K.R. Vijaya was born in Kerala, India but stayed in Palani during her childhood. Her father was working with M.K.Radha's drama troupe and wanted his daughter to make her career in acting. K.R. Vijaya used to do stage dance shows and some of her performances were shown on television. Her talent was then noticed by actor Gemini Ganesan.
MOVIES
K.S. Gopalakrishnan's Karpagam was her debut film. She has appeared in 400 films including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi film also. Vijaya was seen alongside actor RajKumar and Feroz Khan in the Hindi film, Oonche Log. In Tiruchirapalli, India she is known as Punnagai Arasi.
Some of her films like Karpagam, Selvam, Saraswathi Sabadham, Nenchirukkum Varai, Namma Veetu Theivam, Dheergasumangali, Idhayakamalam, Thangapathakkam, and Thirusoolam were critically acclaimed. She was seen in the popular movies, Chandramukhi (2005) and Dasavatharam (2008).
TELEVISION
She also appeared in television serials like Raja Rajeswari and Kudumbam which were aired both in India and Sri Lanka.
